Medicare Supplement Plan N for NJ

New Mexico Medigap Plan N, effective June, 2010, a new Medicare Supplement Plan N, will be in effect as of one of two new standardized Medicare supplement plans, (along with Plan M), for residents of New Mexico.

The benefit of Medigap Plan N is it will reduce your monthly premiums, with similar benefits to Plan D, working with the Medicare Part B deductible, using cost-sharing, also uses co-pays to help reduce premium costs. It is projected that this co-pay system will be in effect after the Medicare Part B deductible is met, making lower premiums than Medigap Plan F premiums.  Both M and N plans are projected to provide real opportunities for its consumers.

Plan N, along with Plan M, may be of special interest to those coming off the Medicare Advantage program, since the Medicare Advantage's premiums may rise up along with the other changes, and there may be a small difference in Plan M and Plan N premiums compared to the new Medicare Advantage premiums, such as lower premiums.
